My cute baby...

I can't help but take pictures of Natalie - ALL THE TIME. I have the still camera AND the video camera out all the time so I don't miss a thing. Logan works very long hours during the week, and I don't want him missing out on a lot either...

She has gotten so good at holding her head up. For awhile, Natalie hated to be on her tummy - and when I did put her there, she would bury her head into the floor, and just cry/scream. So, I practiced with her in front of the mirror for about a week. I would hold her tummy down on my hands, and she would look up into the mirror at me. After about a week, whenever I put her on her tummy, she was good to go. She's such a fast learner :) And now she's doing a lot better at being on her tummy, and is getting close to rolling over (no!!!!)

Sleeping on the couch (on her tummy - we don't do this very often yet)

Sitting in her bumbo Super Seat. She'll be sitting up on her own soon....

I'm really enjoying motherhood, and am totally surprised at how much time I don't have to do things around the house. Natalie has become VERY attached to her mommy. She knows who I am for sure, and knows when other people hold her, that they are NOT me... I even had my visiting teacher holding her, with me right next to her, and she got upset. I love it, because really - she just loves me and wants to be with me so much. But, sometimes I need her to go to other people as well. She's really good with Logan (and vice versa), but there are even times that she gets so upset even with him, and it just takes me a moment to calm her down - then I give her right back. I've made this known to many people, and since then we've had a lot more visitors, and people trying to get to know her, and it has made a great difference. She has become a lot more happy and friendly. Logan gives her all her baths, and puts her to bed every night (if he's home in time)... so that helps (me and her). But she spends ALL day with me. However, on the weekends, she is daddy's girl. I let him do EVERYTHING (except feeding of course). So, it's a nice break for me, and they get to bond a lot as well.

I've been warned that this is a development that doesn't occur in most babies till they are 6 months old - and she was doing this a 3 months! So, she is very aware of her surroundings, and very focused, and knows what she wants and DOESN'T want.

As of lately - she wants to have me near her all the time. I'll place her on her activity gym to play, and she will whine and whine until I'm on the floor sitting right next her. If I'm cooking or doing housework she wants me nearby - so the baby bjorn comes in handy. Even when I'm in the shower, she sits in her bouncer on the bathroom floor, but still whines until I'm out.

But, we love to go out for our walks. She loves to look up at trees and leaves. I've starting a running program - and was using the jogger as I ran. But, now my dear friend Debbie Lincavage meets me at the park. I go off and run, and she pushes Natalie for a walk around the lake. This way, I get a better run, and Debbie gets her walk in, AND Natalie gets to another face in front of her. It's been great!
