Through the first three months of Natalie's life - her emotions were not very consistent. I'm guessing maybe she was just a little colicky - we used white noise a lot to get her to stop crying, but just really had a hard time figuring her out. One thing that helped was the pacifier. Natalie would not have ANYTHING to do with a pacifier, until one day at church in May, I gave it to her, and she just took it. Since then, it has really helped in getting her to sleep, or just to stop whining. Thank goodness!
May also brought us the most wonderful noise I've EVER heard... Natalie started laughing, and it is just adorable. I'm still working on getting it on video, but once I do, I'll post it. It is just precious.
Here is her 3 month picture. The studio was late in getting us in, so by the time we got in, Natalie wasn't too happy. This was the best picture we could get (which yes, is really cute :) but, we didn't get any smiles...
I experienced my first Mother's Day. It was a great day. I woke up to my beautiful baby, and my husband gave me a gift card for a massage. I can't wait to use it. He also made me breakfast that morning, and then he and his sister made dinner for me and his mom. My husband went all out on my dinner. He made Red Lobster's coconut shrimp, and it was delicious! Apparently it was a lot of work, but I say WELL WORTH IT!!!
We also sold Logan's car. Now that he's working in the city, he walks to/from BART each day, and takes BART to/from work, so there's really no need for his car. It was great -we got what we asked for, and now we're saving money on insurance, gas, and maintenance. It practically evens out with the cost of BART.
At the end of the month, we headed up to Auburn for Memorial Day Weekend, and for Simon’s 2nd Birthday. We were excited to celebrate with him, and to witness his first taste of sugar. Unfortunately, Natalie was having a bad day, and practically cried through his whole party, and he came down with a season allergy. But it was still a great weekend with family.
