Holland

We had the opportunity to travel to Holland this month.

My dad's company hosts a conference there each June, and when he needs help working the show, we get to help, and then continue with our own travels.

Here are some of the highlights from Amsterdam.

Our first outing was to Zaanse Schans to see real Dutch windmills. We tagged along with my good friend Leslie and her dad. Great people and great views.

Here's Logan and I on the ferry on the way to the windmills.

Beautiful views...

Logan inside the windmill, climbing up to the top... very cool to see the inside of a windmill, with all the gears, and to actually see how it works. The one mill we went into was a peanut oil mill.

Logan and I went into Amsterdam. Bikes in Holland are their main transportation.
There are bike lanes, everywhere... and see here, a bike garage.

We stopped for a bite to eat, and found this great Doner Kebab place. I have to say, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I wish they had these here in the states. It's basically a pita with lettuce, cucumbers, chili sauce, and lamb.... SO GOOD.. as you can see in this picture :)
At the palace in Amsterdam

I'm so glad that Logan and I are both willing to try different foods. We found this treat that is basically a waffle with chocolate, but sweeter... it was a nice dessert...

With the company conference, we were able to attend a canal cruise.
Here's us (in our work clothes), with some beautiful views from the boat.

We ended all the hard work at Hard Rock Cafe with all the other employees..
Look at those ribs. I think I ate 3 of the ribs... way too much, but good.
