Strawberry Dessert
So, every once in awhile, I like to venture out and actually make a recipe I have found in a magazine (as long as it's 6 or less ingredients of course - that's my rule for cooking from a recipe :) Here is a strawberry dessert I found... consisting of coolwhip, strawberries, and oreo cookie crumbs... You mix it together and freeze it... and it is SOOOOOOOOO YUMMY and way to easy....

June
Well, not a lot happened in June... I looked back and we only had a few pictures. Here's Logan and I at Quinn's Lighthouse Bar & Grill in Oakland. My sister Catherine and her husband Wes recommended it to us, so we ventured out one beautiful Saturday after attending the temple and had lunch there. We sat out on the deck and had a great view of the marina while enjoying our garlic wings and Henry Weinhard's Root Beer (the best :).

More Updates
We've gotten lots of good news recently. Logan has passed several tests, with several agencies recently, so it looks like we will hopefully have some options. Hopefully all the offers come in around the same time, so that we have the opportunity to choose. Right now, even though Border Patrol is now at the bottom of our list, Logan has passed all the tests, and they are now doing his background check. With the CHP, Oakland PD, and Modesto PD, Logan has passed all the Written and Oral Board tests (the hardest part). So that's a big relief. He's doing a great job, and has really improved on the Oral Boards. So, hopefully we'll know something by October/November, when all the background checks will be done, and when the academies are scheduled to start.
We'll keep you all posted...
Meanwhile, we have lived with my parents for the past 9 months, and they are moving to Utah. Happy for them! So, they offered to rent us their home until we figure out what we're doing. And if we end up staying in the area, we can continue to rent it. Logan's mother will also be living with us for a little while, so we look forward to spending a little more time with her.
We don't have any vacations planned this summer. I'm working summer school, and Logan is working a security job (with a little time off right now - LONG story)... So, we're just working, and trying to save some cash. I start the next school year after Labor Day (unless we end up moving to Modesto). But, we'll see...
Hopefully we'll have some pictures up soon from some upcoming events :)
HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!

Update on Law Enforcement Jobs
I didn't realize how long this process would take to get a job in Law Enforcement. I thought we would have a pretty good idea by this point of where we would be heading, but nothing so far... so here's the latest.
I have an amazing husband!!!!
Logan has applied to over 30 law enforcement agencies, from California, Utah, Colorado, and some Federal law enforcement jobs. Half of them, we find out later that he needs his POST certification, or they're not hiring. The other ones, he either hasn't heard back from, or he is in the testing process.
Of the ones he has tested, he has failed some, barely passed some, or passed with flying colors....
Some that we are currently waiting for and excited for:
Border Patrol: (eeks!) - this will take us to the Border, which I am a bit nervous about, BUT, I'll go where my husband needs to take me...
Lot's of pressure with this test. Logan studied for HOURS... It consisted for a very long logical thinking test and an artificial language test (to see your ability to learn a new language, since Spanish will be required to be learned in the Academy).. Speaking of the academy, 6 months in New Mexico - they pay him salary and give him food and board, and I am NOT invited :(....
Anywhoo...Logan studied hard, and 70% of the people who take this test fail it. A passing score is 70%. Logan flew to San Diego to take the test, and got the score the same day.. a 90%!!!! It was awesome. We were both thrilled. It's not easy to get 90%!!!!
He is currently testing with the CHP, Oakland PD, Sacramento PD, and many other local city departments.
Meanwhile, Logan takes almost the same test for each department. Some of them require him to come to their location and take the test (which is usually the same type of test each time). And he also took the T-score at an Academy, which is the common Police Test that many of the departments use - but some of them will accept your score, instead of you coming to take it.
Logan took it in April and got a 46. Most departments require at least a 45,46,50,52.. depends on the department. So, he went back in May, and took it again, and this time got a 56!!!!!!!!
Isn't he awesome? So, that will help at many departments, especially at a department where they weigh the T-score more than other testing.
Another surprise was he got his score back from the CHP (another T-score test) and he got a 58!!!! So, he's getting much much better at these tests.
So, now he's got a lot more Oral Board Interviews to get more comfortable with and pass. These are strictly based on who is interviewing you, and what kind of personality they want in their department, - so it's just finding the department that's right for you...
SO, PLEASE PLEASE keep us in your prayers. It's driving me CRAZY not knowing what we'll be doing in 6 months, but I'm working on my patience... urgh!!!

Date in SF
The Przybylas also enjoying going to SF, so we met them at Union Square and then hung out for awhile in Chinatown with them (before Lerry, Kryssy and Kenny headed home). Then Logan and Felecia went out on a very fun date.
First, we relived our FIRST date and went to the Penny Arcades at Fisherman's Wharf. There's a bunch of OLD arcade type games (we mean OLD, no PacMan or Atari games, way before them).

Right outside the Penny Arcades is an old Submarine from WWII. So we went on a quick tour, and really saw the TIGHT quarters that these people lived in, underwater. Amazing.
Then, as we went to buy some yummy Boudin sourdough bread, Logan spotted Rainforest Cafe, and got really excited. He had never been there, so we decided to go there for dinner. Dinner was good. They had this HUGE dessert called the Volcano, as you see in the pic, that was enough for 10. We , but the atmosphere was really cool. JUNGLE everywhere. Greenery, and tons of animals (fake of course), who come "alive" every 1/2 hour. And then they had these beautiful huge aquariums everywhere. It was very cool and colorful.
After dinner, and some fun souvenir shopping, we headed to the Cable Cars. We had looked online to check times and prices, and online it said the cable cars are $3/person each way, so we made sure we had $6 exact cash all day. When we went to get on the trolley, we discovered it was $5/person each way - and we only had $6 (we spent the rest!!). So, we ran off the cable car to an ATM, and got the rest of our funds. Hilarious. It was one of the most fun cable car rides I had been on. I was tired, but the passengers and employers running the car were very entertaining. We then slept all the way home on BART... It was a long, tiring, but fun day.
Przybyla Family visits
Right after Lea and Catherine left, Logan's family members came to town to visit, so we've been busy enjoying family for a few weeks. So we were finally able to get all 3 nieces/nephews on his side together for the first time. Here's pictures of the babies and aunts and uncles, and grandparents. The last night they were all here, we got together to get an updated family picture.
Here's a very proud Grandma!!!

San Francisco with the Edwards
Catherine and Wes love going to San Francisco, so we made a trip on Saturday with them. It was great to go in mom and dad's car that fit all 7 of us, AND to watch movies on the way there and back. First we went to Lori's 50's Diner at Ghiradelli Square - with a GREAT view of the water landscapes.
Catherine, Wes, and Jake visit
Lea came a little early, and overlapped with Catherine, and then Catherine stayed a little longer through Mother's Day, so we had some good quality time with everyone and their kids.

Here's some adorable pictures of Jake.

Wes had a Mustang as a rental for a week, and Jacob just felt like the coolest baby sitting in daddy's Cool Car!

Look closely at the messy face during dinner.
Sisters Visit
Jacob loved to be pushed up the slide, and then slide backwards back down.
He had a ball!
He had a ball!
But we still had fun PUSHING them to REALLY high.
Another quote from Abby: "Let's do this EVERY YEAR!"
Minigolfing with Abby and Mason
Kite Flying
Lea and her children flew out to visit for a week, and we took the opportunity to spend some good quality time with the nieces and nephews, including Mason and Abby. Here we are flying a Pirate Ship kite - if you look closely behind us, you'll see the kite high up in the air. The kids had a GREAT time, and a quote from Abby, "This is the best day of my life!!!"
Birthday Time!!!
Since Felecia's birthday is April 21st and Logan's is May 8th, we decided to have joint birthday parties from now on, mostly to make it more convenient for friends and family. This year we had a bbq movie night at our complex clubhouse. We had a blast. Had hot dogs, birthday cake, and lots of popcorn, candy, and soda. We projected Three Amigos up on the big white wall, and enjoyed a big movie with friends and family.

Logan's 15 minuites of fame
For those who don't know, Logan was in a commerical as a baby. When he was 2 years old, his Mother took him, his older brother and sister to a parade to keep them happy while their dad did some work. The parade would repeat over and over again. A member of the film crew asked his mother if he could film them and she said they could. They got American flags and were filmed. About three monthes later, his Grandmother called saying that she saw her kids in a Ronald Regan commercial. His mom called around and got a hold of the people. They were also trying to find her. She gave them our information to get a copy of it, but also got money for Peter and Logan as well as a copy of the commercial. That money paid for almost everyone's mission. They were also in the TIME magazine and here are some pics of his fame. Logan is in the middle, Peter is on the left and Mindy is on the right.
