I got a KitchenAid!!!

So... most of you know I'm not a cook or baker... mainly because I don't really have the time. After work (teaching 2nd graders), I'm usually just too tired to do any of that type of stuff... Believe me, once I get to stay home with my babies (someday...) I plan on pursuing this skill... However, my students (I guess their parents) are very generous, and I get a lot of gift cards for Christmas and end of year. This last year I decided to save my Macy's cards for a KitchenAid... so, I did. At the end of the year, we went to Macy's, and with a special promotion they were having (on sale for $299 instead of $399), PLUS a 10% off coupon, AND my gift cards, we left only spending $50 on this fantastic Apple Green KitchenAid... I LOVE it... and I LOVE the color. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do something so bold or go for something neutral - but my sister Catherine said suggested to get a color I like (she has a black one :). So far we've made 9lbs of mashed potatoes and a couple of batches of chocolate chip cookies in it.
